Carcharodon Megalodon Tooth- Natural cast. Early Miocene (23 MYA) to Late Pliocene (2.6 MYA). Carcharodon Megalodon name means "Big Tooth" or "Big, Mighty Tooth". The huge shark was a mighty ocean predator reaching 18 meters (59 ft.). Its teeth were sharp and powerful with several reaching over 18 cm (7.1) inches slant height. Tooth Length: 14.5 cm.
